This edition includes two submissions for the third cycle of the Universal Periodic Review on the matter of observance of human rights in Ukraine. The first submission of the Coalition of Ukrainian Human Rights Organizations “Against Tortures” contains analysis of legislative and practical aspects of situation with Human Rights in Ukraine in fields of the right to life, prohibition of torture and ill-treatment, right to liberty and personal integrity, the right to fair trial, rights of migrants and asylum seekers, prisoners’ rights. The second submission of the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group is devoted to the situation with human rights on the territories effected by the armed conflict on the East of Ukraine both are under controlled by the Government of Ukraine and by the unconstitutional self-proclaimed “Luhansk People’s Republic” and “Donetsk People’s Republic”. Both submissions contain specific recommendations on improving the situation in area of human rights in Ukraine in accordance with the international standards
