On March 2, 2022, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, announced the opening of an official investigation into the situation in Ukraine, which encompasses past and present allegations of war crimes, crimes against humanity, or genocide committed on the territory of Ukraine by any person since November 21, 2013.
