2 березня 2022 року Прокурор МКС Карім Хан оголосив про відкриття офіційного розслідування ситуації в Україні, яка охоплює будь-які минулі та теперішні звинувачення у воєнних злочинах, злочинах проти людяності чи геноциді, скоєних на будь-якій частині території України будь-якою особою з 21 листопада 2013 року.

On March 2, 2022, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, announced the opening of an official investigation into the situation in Ukraine, which encompasses past and present allegations of war crimes, crimes against humanity, or genocide committed on the territory of Ukraine by any person since November 21, 2013.
